I’ll show you mine…

In less than 2 weeks I’ll be heading off to sunny Florida to join my fellow It Works distributors at their Mission Possible Conference.  I cannot wait.  A weekend of taking my business to a Whole Notha’ Level.  I’m looking forward to the camaraderie and the fun.  And maybe (just maybe) a trip to Disney with my husband.  I’m even fortunate enough that two of my rock star team members are travelling too.  I know this trip is just going to explode our businesses and I’m ready for that.  I’m really really really ready for the freedom It Works global is giving me.  Currently I’m running the whole practice by myself and I have a new appreciation for how hard my husband worked at our practice, and how grateful I am for the freedom that afforded me.  Now I’m ready to return the favor.  I have my sights set on retiring him.  I’m not going to stop until it happens.  That’s what this biz is doing for me. 

But, in the meantime… I need to dress appropriately for conference and that means sporting my green, black and bling. (Seriously it is so much fun shopping for bling when you’re a glitter addict).  So, naturally, I went shopping.  Look what I found!  I’m pretty sure these are a need, right?

I really think it’s an addiction…. and hey, if you’re at conference too, track me down…. I’m the one with an obnoxious glittered phone case too….

Ok, well my chickens didn’t cross the road, but they did hop/scale the fence and are on the road.  This is myself and my four year old perfecting our chicken wrangling.  Seriously, what else did I have to do today?

Why should I just bring plain snacks for my little one’s birthday celebration, when I can bring super fantastic snacks? That is always my goal.  Ask me for snacks, I’m going to Pinterest my heart out and bring SNACKS!  Fortunately I am my own boss and I have a ton of flexibility and freedom.  I have the time and the means to indulge my creative side and hence I’ve developed a bit of a reputation.  Not that kind of reputation, but a snack reputation.  Sheesh.  So here it is, the latest addition to the repertoire   I originally pinned this from the HWTM blog and then made my own.

Aren’t they snacktastic?  And you know what?  Only one child tried to eat the cookie off the front.

I love little marketing tips, and I love, love, love things in miniature, so with Halloween upon us and all those “fun size” chocolate bars floating around, I thought I’d use it to my advantage.  Enter the treat-for-grown-ups-super-marketing-business-card idea.  I saw this on a few of my acquaintances Facebook pages and I thought I’d just follow their lead.  I do think these will work any time of the year.  I’m just going to stock up on Halloween candy tomorrow.

Operation Awesome Snack

One of the great things about being my own boss, is the freedom.  It means I actually get to do the stuff I pin on Pinterest.  I also like to bring my “A” game when it comes to school snacks.  Halloween is a perfect opportunity to be creative.

So I was excited to repeat this little treat this year.  However, another parent beat me to it.  I was left with juice.  Juice?  How can that be cool?

Well it turns out there are some pretty great ideas for juice boxes in the Halloween theme and I was looking forward to making 21 little juice box mummies or monsters.  Then the teacher emailed me back.  Another student was bringing cups.  Cups?  Sigh.  That means I need to bring large bottles of juice.  Operation Awesome Snack was falling apart at the seams.  But fear not,  I had a solution.
